2H SEMINAR 

Content: What is SEO ; a 101 introduction into Search Engine Optimisation
Outcomes: The participant will understand how search engines work and how they can find out through usage of keyword tool how to find out what potential customers are actually searching for. They will also learn about the advantages of having SEO and when it is appropriate to use paid advertising such as Google Adwords.

6H WORKSHOP  

Content: What is SEO ; a 101 introduction into Search Engine Optimisation – a practical workshop – People should bring a notebook/ laptops, Wi-Fi must be provided.
Outcomes: The participant will understand how search engines work and how they can find out through usage of keyword tool how to find out what potential customers are actually searching for. They will also learn about the advantages of having SEO and when it is appropriate to use paid advertising such as Google Adwords. Participants will learn about some free tools of the trade and how they can make them work for themselves.
Additionally the listener will be able to create a top 5-10 keyword list for their own company and learn how to communicate effectively with their web designer – they will learn the terminology about where to implement those keywords within their website.
Google Adwords will be discussed in depth, how much does it cost and a quick “how to set it up” is included.
The course will also discuss social networks and how to determine whether using Facebook/ Twitter/LinkedIn is useful for them or not. After this course participants will have the confidence to talk with SEO consultants and their web-developers and understand fair pricing.

3 DAY WORKSHOP, 3X6H

Outcomes: Additionally to all that is learnt in the 6h workshop, participants will be able to give some of their notes to me to review and make amendments to, they will also learn the value of Google Analytics (which is free) and how to read results. Understanding Google Analytics means also being able to find out where customers come from, whether their social network efforts are working out and how to make their SEO knowledge work for them, when dealing with PR and the media. Participants will also learn to understand whether it is worth keeping their existing website and make small amendments, or whether a new one should be built for their purposes by evaluating their current page. After this course participants will have the confidence to talk with SEO consultants and their web-developers and understand fair pricing.
